I wander the empty streets of cities
I have never seen and
see no-one.
The 'radical child' travels eternally
trusting in only themselves.
To find no friends of anykind,
no family of anykind,
except for the lost souls of this world.
Wandering the 'streets of gold'
in America, homeless and despised
in a Christian land.
What is left to hope for,
or to dream for,
except for companionship and love.
To return home after many lifetimes
have run their course.
To find acquaintances from long before.
Finding the friendship that was searched for.
Never dreaming it would be there,
but joyous just the same.
Finding the capability to love,
even if it's never returned.
The 'radical child' returns and
joins the real world once again.
